The best Motorhome and Campervan spots to visit

Denali National Park

This park offers six million acres of untamed wilderness waiting to be explored. Most of this park is inaccessible by road so the best way to see it is by taking a flightseeing tour which allows you to spot wildlife, including bears and moose, and participate in glacier landings.  

Anchorage

The most populous city in Alaska is the perfect base for exploring the six mountain ranges, glaciers and is your gateway to the wilderness. From Anchorage you can immerse yourself in local culture and enjoy various activities including glacier landings on Knik Glacier, a guided walk on Matanuska Glacier and a boat trip to Prince William Sound. 

Skagway

A town known for its gold-rush history Skagway will transport you back in time with its mixture of original and replica buildings. Skagway is the easiest location to reach after picking up your motorhome in Whitehorse, drive across the South Klondike Highway you will be amazed by the spectacular river and mountain scenery.

Haines

Alaska’s adventure capital is surrounded by deep blue waters with marine wildlife visible in the secluded bays. Mountain ranges and glaciers are also waiting to be explored. This is another great area to spot wildlife and you can take a sightseeing cruise.
