Killarney is one of the oldest communities on Lake Huron, positioned at the entrance of the village as the town first served as a fur trading post. Situated on the north shore of Georgian Bay, Killarney can be accessed by road along Highway 637 or boat and floatplane.
Killarney is a great place for an outdoor adventure, the Killarney Provincial Park is opened all year round and is classified as a wilderness park and offers a wide variety of activities including backcountry hiking, paddling, camping, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. A visit to Killarney would not be complete without trying the fish and chips from the world-famous Herbert Fisheries down at the dock, enjoy while overlooking the views of George Island the Georgian Bay.
