The Henry Ford Estate is a private non-profit funded by the generosity of the Ford family, Ford Dealers, and donors who are recognized on the Donor Wall, and special grants from supportive institutions.
To date, much of the gardens, grounds, and main house have been restored by skilled professionals, artisans, and craftspeople to authentically reflect the original look and feel of the home as Clara and Henry knew it. But a large amount of work remains. A small hard-working team is restoring the expansive estate to preserve the estate of an iconic couple so that future generations can understand the impact the Fords had on the world.
Fair Lane provides an immersive experience to learn the extraordinary story of the Ford family in the intimate setting of their living room, their dining room, their gardens throughout the estate. This National Historic Landmark will serve as the platform for visitors and future generations to experience.

Detroit Princess Riverboat
The Detroit Princess has been well received from day one. When researching the options to bring a boat-style restaurant to Detroit,Detroit princess really wanted to provide something that Detroit that had been missing since the late 1980s. For almost a century the Boblo Boats SS Ste. Claire and SS Columbia entertained Detroiters on the river, but they sadly were sold in 1991. Until the Detroit Princess Riverboat’s arrival in 2005 the riverfront felt a tad bit empty, and the Detroit princess riverboat happily filled the role as Detroit’s premier riverboat experience ever since.
