Day 1 - UK to Toronto

Arrive in Toronto and transfer to your hotel for your overnight stay. 

You require one pre-night before picking up your RV, if you want to explore more of Toronto and the surrounding area including Niagara Falls speak to your Canada Specialists about extending your Toronto stay.

Day 2 - Toronto to Kingston

Today pick up your RV and make the journey to Kingston. Onroute stop at the city of Peterborough, home to the world's highest lift locks. These remarkable engineering marvels elevate pleasure crafts and their aquatic homes a staggering 20 meters (65 feet) straight upward. Visit the Peterborough Lift Lock Visitor Centre (Admission not included) to marvel at the world's highest hydraulic lift lock, and delve into the history of the Trent-Severn Waterway through interactive exhibits, slides, and films. Experience the ingenuity of lift lock construction with a working model, immersing yourself in the sights and sounds of a bygone era.

Continuing onto Kingston enjoy a visit to Fort Henry National Historic Site. Witness the vibrant spectacle of scarlet uniforms, drumbeats, and musket fire reverberating against the sturdy limestone walls, transporting visitors back in time. Built between 1832 and 1834 as a defense against a potential American invasion, Fort Henry now stands as a living museum of military history. Explore the daily life of soldiers through guided tours, parades, and drills, with the highlight being the renowned Fort Henry Guard—a meticulously trained group of Canadian university students showcasing 19th-century infantry maneuvers.

Day 3 - Kingston

A full day to explore the city of Kingston. Once the capital of Canada Kingston is located on the point where Lake Ontario meets St Lawernce River, enjoy a cruise around the 1000s Islands and exploring this area's full natural beauty.

Day 4 - Kingston to Gatineau Park (Ottawa)

Follow the signs for the scenic route to Ottawa, Canada’s capital city. Your destination tonight is just outside the city of Gatineau, Quebec with an overnight stop in Gatineau Park. Make your first stop the Rideau Canal. At 202 kilometres long, it connects Ottawa to Lake Ontario and the Saint Lawrence River. In the centre of the city is Parliament Hill, an impressive and grand Victorian building. Visit the National Gallery of Canada or head to ByWard Market for specialty food like Canadian cheese and the oh-so-famous Canadian maple Syrup.

After touring the city of Ottawa, you’ll finish today’s trip in Gatineau Park, which is just 15 minutes away from the capital of Canada. Reserve your spot ahead of time online and enjoy the walking trails and conservation park while still benefiting from the city vibe just minutes away.

Day 5 - Gatineau Park (Ottawa)

Spend today exploring Canada's Capital Ottawa, take in the views across the Rideau Canal or enjoy a canal cruise. Ottawa is filled with museums learn more about Ottawa's and Canada's past at the Canadian War Musuem or Canadian Musuem of History. After exploring the capital make your way back to your campsite.

Day 6 - Gatineau Park (Ottawa)

Another full day to explore Gatineau Park and Ottawa. 

Gatineau Park expands over 361 km² of hills and forests enjoy a range of outdoor activities including hiking and cycling along the various trails.

Day 7 - Gatineau Park (Ottawa) to Montreal

On today’s drive to Montreal, take the Quebec side of the river along highway 50. It’s known to be slightly more scenic and you’ll drive through more towns than highways. Stop in the town of Montebello and stretch your legs at the beautiful Fairmont Chateau Montebello. And, if you have extra days available to you, a night at Mont-Tremblant National Park is a beautiful stay, just under two hours from Montreal.

Arriving in Montreal, you can’t go wrong taking a food tour of Quebec’s largest city. If eating your way through Montreal’s famous smoked meat and poutine isn’t your thing, why not hike up Mont-Royal and get a bird’s eye view of the city? Old Montreal is a must-visit, be sure to take a stroll along Saint-Paul Street.

Consider spending the night at Parc National des îles-de-Boucherville, just 20 minutes north of the city centre.
