Luray is a town in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley. It’s known for Luray Caverns, a vast underground cave system with walkways, unusual rock formations and the Great Stalacpipe Organ, which makes the stalactites “sing.”
Below is a small selection of the tours we can organise for you when you have booked your USA holiday with us and are visiting Luray.

The award-winning Luray-Hawksbill Greenway invites users to enjoy the abundant beauty and wildlife of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley in a unique urban setting. With two miles of trails, as well as open spaces and scenic rest areas, the Luray-Hawksbill Greenway is a great place to enjoy some peace and quiet, watch the wildlife along the creek or go for a walk or jog. The Ruffner Plaza on the Greenway is the center of many music festivals and other local activities.
More than 200 species of resident and transient birds are known to use the nearby Shenandoah National Park, and many of them can be found along the Luray-Hawksbill Greenway, which is part of the Virginia Birding and Wildlife Trail.Anglers enjoy fly fishing in Hawksbill Creek, which is home to many of the Shenandoah’s 37 fish species, including game fish such as Trout, Smallmouth Bass and Bluegill. Offering Category “A” trout fishing, the creek is stocked throughout the year. Due to the number of walkers, runners, and children who use the Greenway paths, cyclists, in particular, need to use appropriate speeds (high speeds are not permitted on the Greenway) and yield the right of way to all pedestrians.

The Shenandoah Heritage Village is a seven-acre re-creation of a small 19th century farming community made up of restored historic buildings, cottage style gardens, and a small vineyard with a scenic mountain backdrop. These endangered historic buildings were given a new life, through relocation and restoration, to help whisk you away to Shenandoah living in the 19th century.
Ranging from pre-contact Native American history to the Roaring 20s, you’ll be amazed at just how rich the history of the Shenandoah Valley is. As you stroll along the paths of the Shenandoah Heritage Village, you’ll notice gardens full of rare heirloom plants, fruit trees, and a small vineyard. Nigella, wallflowers, foxgloves, and sunflowers are just some of the blooms that await. The Stonyman Mining Company Gem Sluice is an interactive lesson in how pioneer prospectors would bring gold and other valuable gems into the world. Gem bags can be purchased in the Museum Gift Shop.
