Great Bear Lodge, the bear and wildlife viewing and the journey by floatplane was a once in a lifetime experience. Whistler : great atmosphere, has something for everyone. Jasper – small town in the Rockies where you feel within touching distances of the famous Rockies.
Favourite hotel:
Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge – stunningly located next to Beauvert Lake with views across the Rockies. Fantastic facilities and activities on offer, kayaking was a lot of fun.
Attractions visited:
Peak 2 Peak Gondola (Whistler) spectacular views over the glaciers, mountain ranges, lakes & village. Segway in Edmonton – fun way to see the Bow River region in Edmonton and learn about the city. Vancouver Harbour Cruise – highly recommend, scenic & relaxing with great photo opportunities. Fly Over Canada (Vancouver) – no other attraction is similar to this, amazing experience and fun for all the family. Banff Gondola – stunning scenery with a birds eye view. Kayaking on Beauvert Lake next the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge – fun, with terrific views of the Rockies. Canada’s Wonderland – water and theme park in Toronto, great fun for all the family and the adrenaline junkies.
Favourite restaurants:
Ice House and Oyster Bar in Tofino. Small intimate restaurant set at the end of a pier, offers amazing seafood, cocktails and sunsets. Oceanside Dining at Pictou Lodge Resort (Nova Scotia) – beautiful ocean views, terrific crab cakes and fresh lobster.
Top tips:
Make sure to have a Tacofino in Tofino. Pre-book excursions. If staying in a Fairmont Hotel be sure to join the free Fairmont Presidents Club before you travel as you will receive complimentary WIFI.

Watch out for the bears!!
Greatest memory:
Landing by floatplane at Great Bear Lodge in the middle of the rainforest and spotting our first bear in the wild. Our 4 day experience at this bear and wildlife viewing lodge was outstanding from start to finish.
