Onboard the Ocean Route travel from the Maritime town of Halifax, Nova Scotia traveling along the Atlantic Ocean to the French city Montreal. This route is 1 day/ 1 night.
On VIA Rail’s Ocean Route you will cross over the Maritimes in one day. Boarding in Halifax, Nova Scotia you will travel alongside the Atlantic Ocean, through Nova Scotia before reaching you second Atlantic Canada province New Brunswick. As night begins to fall you will travel along the coast of Baie-des-Chaleurs, located on the boarder of New Brunswick and Quebec. After crossing over to Quebec the train will begin to follow the St Lawerence River, as the sun begins to rise the following morning you will find yourself in the Monteregian Hills before arriving in downtown Montreal.
Onboard the Ocean Route you can enjoy relaxing onboard in the lounge car, here you can watch the scenery pass as you enjoy a refreshing drink as well as chatting with your fellow passengers. Passengers in Sleeper Plus will be provided with meals onboard served in the dinning cart, for those travelling in economy will be able to purchase food onboard.
