The Skeena Train is one of VIA Rail’s most scenic routes travelling from the Rocky Mountains in Jasper to the spectacular Pacific Coast in Prince Rupert.
Departing in the afternoon from the heart of the Rocky Mountains in the town of Jasper, you will be amazed at the speculator views of the high peaks of the Rocky Mountains, lakes and impressive waterfalls. As you begin to travel out of the Rockies you will transported through the lush rainforest and rivers around Prince George. You will depart the train in Prince George in the evening staying at a hotel before reboarding the train the following morning. Continuing your journey as the train follows the Skeena River and travel through spectacular canyons and open valleys, arriving in Prince Rupert in the evening.
Onboard VIA Rail Skeena Train the only class available is economy, with limited food available onboard it is recommended guests bring their own food onboard. The train stops overnight in Prince George and guests depart, staying at a hotel boarding the train the following day to continue to Prince Rupert.
