Boarding

Check in is 90 minutes before departure, it important you arrive early to ensure your bags are checked in. At check in you will be provided with your boarding pass and select your dinner time.

Once you have boarded the train you will be greeted by your concierge who will explain what to expect during your journey. Including what to expect at meal times and when your bed cabin will be transformed to beds.

Baggage

Private Cabin/ Berths and Prestige Cabin customers are permitted to bring:

1 personal item

Item that must fit under the seat in front of you (purse, laptop bag, small backpack, etc.)

Max. size: 43 x 33 x 15 cm (17 x 13 x 6 in)

Max. weight: 11.5 kg (25 lb)

1 carry-on item

One (1) SMALL bag

Max. size: 53 x 41 x 25 cm (21 x 16 x 10 in)

Max. weight: 11.5 kg (25 lb)

You are also permitted to bring two checked bags which is 23kg max which will not be with you onboard. It is important you bring important items you will need during your duration on the train in your carry on luggage. Any bags which are overweight you may be subject to additional charges which can be paid locally.

Meals Onboard

Onboard the Canadian you will be provided with all your meals onboard including Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. They offer 3 different main meal options including a meat dish, fish and vegetarian. Everything is made to order and dietary requirments will be accommodated. If you have not told your booking consultant at the time of booking it is important that you contact us to ensure that all requirments are taken into account.

You can purchase a selection of local beers and wines by the glass to accompany your meal.

Please note only certain types of payments are accepted onboard: Credit Cards: VISA, Mastercard & American Express and Cash. VIA Rail Gift Cards, Debit Cards and Prepaid Credit Card are not accepted as forms of payment onboard.
